Biography
Widely revered as one of the nation’s top criminal attorneys, Carlos A. Monzón has a victory mindset and no-nonsense approach to litigation that puts clients on the quickest and most strategic path to ideal case outcomes. With nearly three decades of experience, he’s not afraid to fight to the full extent of the law – and he won’t quit until the final gavel strikes.
Monzón has an extensive track record of success in sensitive legal areas, such as state and federal criminal matters and appeals and personal injury cases. Unlike some other attorneys, Monzón does not shy away from taking cases to trial.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Monzón spent several years abroad as an instructor for trial advocacy in Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Puerto Rico. He has taken his extensive knowledge of Sixth Amendment law to litigators in countries with often-corrupt legal processes. He is also heavily involved in several organizations supporting the local and national Latinx community.
Monzón earned a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1994, and has since dedicated his practice to aggressively protecting, preserving, and defending his clients’ constitutional rights.
