Woman in Lincoln Charged With Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamines

As of January 21, 2016, according to U.S. attorney, Deborah R. Gilg, a woman in Lincoln has been formally indicted with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamines. It has been estimated that the amount of methamphetamines in question is at least 500 grams or more. She is accused of having these illegal controlled substances between September 1, 2013 and December 8, 2015. 

The associated penalties for a criminal charges of this magnitude could include the following consequences:

  • Fines up to $10,000,000
  • No less than 10 years in prison, and up to life imprisonment
  • After serving any prison term, a five year term of supervised release would be required

On January 25, 2016, she appeared before federal court, but the trial is not scheduled to begin until March 28, 2015. The Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force are the ones investigating the case.
